The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), an independent, not-for-profit
organization dedicated to measuring the quality of America’s health care, assesses and reports on the quality of care of managed care plans.

The Healthcare Effectiveness Data & Information Set (HEDIS®) is a tool health plans use to evaluate their performance in terms of clinical quality and customer service. Here are some of the key measures from our most recent HEDIS results as reported in the Quality Compass®.

The Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS®) survey is sent to Preferred Care members annually to ask your opinion about your health care experience with your doctors and Preferred Care. The same survey is sent to other members of health plans nationwide. The following are some of the results from the 2007
