Compare cost and quality

with CareCompass from Preferred Care

CareCompass from Preferred Care is a decision support tool that lets you compare hospital cost and quality. You get to choose the hospitals and the procedure or diagnosis that you want to see in a side-by-side comparison report.

To compare these hospitals, CareCompass looks at:

• the number of patients treated at each hospital (patients/year);
• the percentage of patients who died (mortality);
• the percentage of patients who developed problems (complications);
• the average number of days people stay in each hospital (length-of-stay); and
• each hospital's average charges (costs).

CareCompass will show you a list of facilities that fit your search requirements. You’ll see:

• how close the facility is to where you live; and
• the number of patients treated.
