Preferred Care Tuesday Nature Nights
Preferred Care is the sponsor of the City of Rochester's Tuesday Nature Nights, which includes weekly bike rides, walks and canoe outings that explore nature in Rochester's amazing historic parks and neighborhoods.
Guided by City staff, these free* tours run from 6:00 to 8 p.m and are available to all ages.

May 6, 13 & 20; September 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 Hillside Workouts
For all ages in Cobbs Hill Park (walk or run). Group warm-ups begin at 6 pm, Fleet Feet Sports, 2210 Monroe Ave. followed by hill runs/walks or jogs 6-7 pm around the reservoir at participant's personal level of experience.
May 27 - Guided Bike Ride, High Falls Neighborhood.
Meet at the Pont de Rennes, behind the Centers at High Falls. Travel along the Genesee Riverway Trail and by road into the community. Ride through downtown Rochester, Genesee Valley Park, Corn Hill, Susan B. Anthony neighborhoods and view the developing Frederick Douglass Museum site. Enjoy a one-mile preview bike ride along the world-class Rochester Twilight Criterium Bicycle Race loop.
June 3 - Guided Bike Ride, Genesee Valley Park Neighborhood Trails.
Meet at Genesee Valley Park pool parking lot, 131 Elmwood Ave. Bike along the Erie Canal Trail, Genesee Riverway and the Genesee Valley Greenway Trails.
June 10 - “Trees in Our Neighborhoods” Walk. Cobbs Hill Park.
Meet at Lake Riley Lodge, Norris Dr. off Culver Rd. The walk will include portions of Cobbs Hill Park and nearby neighborhoods.
June 17 - Guided Bike Ride, Mount Hope Cemetery.
Meet at the Genesee Valley Park pool parking lot, 131 Elmwood Ave. Explore the oldest municipally maintained Victorian cemetery in the United States. Cemetery tour in cooperation with the Friends of Mount Hope Cemetery.
June 24 - Guided Bike Ride, Maplewood neighborhood.
Meet at the Rose Garden parking lot, Lake Ave. & Driving Park Ave. Ride on the Genesee Riverway Trail through Seneca Park. Spectacular views of Lower Falls and Genesee River Gorge.
July 1 - “Trees in our Neighborhoods” Walk, St. Paul Quarter Tour.
Meet in the former Chamber of Commerce building parking lot, 55 St. Paul St ., and explore the history of romantic St. Paul Quarter and visit one of the city's newest galleries.
July 8 - Guided Bike Ride, University Ave. neighborhood.
Begin at the Rochester Public Market, 280 N. Union St. See old manufacturing buildings converted to loft housing, eateries and a brewery. Ride along University Ave. to view sidewalk art and enjoy the George Eastman House gardens.
July 15 - “Trees in Our Neighborhoods” Walk, Maplewood neighborhood.
Meet at the parking lot of the Rose Garden, on Driving Park Ave. at Lake Ave. (across from the YMCA). Features river views of waterfalls and historical park structures.
July 22 - Guided Bike Ride, Park Avenue neighborhood.
Meet at the Towner's Bicycle Shop, 1048 University Avenue. Ride along East Ave. and view beautiful City mansions. Enjoy Cobb's Hill Reservoir, a great view north and the Park Ave. neighborhood.
July 29 - Guided Outrigger Canoe Paddle, Genesee Valley Park.
Waterways Center, 149 Elmwood Dr. Skyline Tour takes paddlers from Genesee Valley Park to the South Wedge neighborhood and features a breathtaking view of the city. $15. per person. Preregister: 6/16/08 –7/25/08
August 5 - Guided Bike Ride, South River Loop neighborhood.
Meet at the Genesee Valley Park pool parking lot, 131 Elmwood Ave. Ride along the
Genesee Riverway Trail, through downtown Rochester and the Corn Hill neighborhood. Enjoy ice cream at Corn Hill Landing. Ride the one mile Rochester Twilight Criterium Bicycle Race loop.

Meet at Port of Rochester boat launch parking lot, ride through historic Charlotte, the Port of Rochester, Beach Ave. and Edgemere Drive. Includes a climb up the 1822 Genesee Lighthouse Tower.
August 26 - Guided Bike Ride, Corn Hill neighborhood.
Meet at the Genesee Valley Park pool parking lot, 131 Elmwood Ave. Bike on the Genesee Riverway Trial and explore the Corn Hill neighborhood. Enjoy ice cream at Corn Hill Landing. Ride the one mile Rochester Twilight Criterium Bicycle Race loop.

- Cancellations due to weather will be made at the beginning of each session,
on site.
- Walks and rides are leisurely with slight grade changes, mostly on paths or sidewalks.
- Bicycle helmets required.
*Only the outrigger canoe trips require a fee. Pre-register from 6/4/07-6/29/7 for both canoe dates.
